Why I Love History

This aired on 60 Minutes (one of my favorites) over the summer and is some very early, but very clear, film of San Francisco in 1906 just days before a devastating earthquake and resulting fire. Put yourself back in this era.  Notice the lack of streetlights, the abundance of cars and horse-drawn carriages all sharing Market St. with streetcars, pedestrians, bicyclists.  Don't forget your hat!
